This film announces the winners of the 2021 SVRI Knowledge for Action to End Violence Against Women and Violence Against Children Research Grant. It introduces eight grant winners from the Philippines, Nepal, Bosnia Herzegovina and Serbia, Zimbabwe, Mali, Lebanon and Turkey, Brazil, and Jordan who speak about their sciences pitches. Each grantee explains how the grant furthers their research, the purpose and importance of their field of study and how it improves the lives of women and children.
The Research Grant is a collaborative venture between the Sexual Violence Research Initiative (SVRI) and The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) which contributes to the prevention and response of violence against women (VAW), violence against children (VAC) and other forms of violence driven by gender inequality in low and middle-income countries.
