The Salt River Mortuary in Cape Town is one of the world’s busiest mortuaries. Built in 1957, it is long outdated and no longer sufficiently supports an ever-growing city. The film looks at the plans to build a new state-of-the-art forensic facility that hopes to solve the health risks currently faced by the mortuary staff, while also striving to provide adequate and timeous forensic answers to loved ones.
